Pottery
Every piece of our hand-made, hand-glazed pottery is unique. Variations or “imperfections” may occur due to the fact that they are kiln-fired. (Some kilns are over three-hundred years old!). We will be happy to help you learn more about the processes involved in making our pottery.

Granite
Granite can vary in color and grain, and slight size differences are possible, depending upon the individual artists. Such differences actually enhance the beauty of the piece. Each piece in The Pacific Home and Garden granite collection is carved with the original and detailed craftsmanship of its artist.

The impressive weight of granite demands that lanterns be made a manageable size. It is therefore recommended that in assembling a lantern, the pieces be joined by an epoxy cement. This is most advisable if the piece is to be permanently secured in an area where children are at play. Also, pieces carved with pedestal bases can easily be made stable if set in concrete or gravel. We have pictured many antiques in our catalogue, and please note that we ship items with their natural granite finish. If you would like us to reproduce an “antique finish,” we will be happy to accommodate your request for a ten-percent (10%) additional charge. There can be no guarantee of an exact match with the picture in the catalogue… (example: there will be no moss or lichen on the granite as is sometimes pictured).

Bamboo
In time --- depending upon the climatic or environmental conditions to which it is exposed---bamboo will naturally crack. There can be no guarantee against such cracking. Our bamboo pieces are made from Arundinaria amablis and Phallostachys pubescens (Moso) -- the best quality in the market.

Fountains
We are pleased to offer fountain “kits” to our customers who wish to create their own fountains. Please inquire if you want to know if a “kit’ is provided with your purchase. All fountains are intended for outdoor use, and since they are made of natural materials, water seepage may occur.

Custom Orders
If you are ordering a custom-designed item, it is necessary that we have a sketch or photograph indicating dimensions and color. Large pieces for public gardens and commercial sites can be ordered. (Such orders apply only to bamboo and granite products.) A fifty-percent (50%) deposit is required up front on all special orders. Three months lead-time is also required.

Terms And Fees
A prepayment is required for first time orders. We accept VISA, MASTER cards and American Express.
Credit terms, such as Net 30 Days, can be established upon credit approval.
Late payments would incur a 2% monthly service charge for past-due accounts.
Any reasons, checks returned to our bank would incur a $25.00 charge.
Prices and designs are subject to change without notice. All prices are FOB Oakland.

Minimum Orders
UPS-able products: $200.00, subject to packaging charges.
Trucking/Common Carrier: $500.00.
Orders will be shipped out ASAP in the order which we received. Please allow 1-2 weeks for delivery.

Freight Charges
There are no packaging charges for trucking. A charge may apply for special shipping needs. “Drop-ship” is available for a nominal fee upon request. Discount rates on freight from 55% to 85% will be passed on to customers prepaying shipments.

Canceling Orders
A written notice is required in advance for canceling any orders. Cancellation may not be accepted once we have shipped the merchandise. A 15% restocking fee plus related freight charges will apply.

Damages
All items must be inspected upon arrival when delivered. Please note damages on the driver’s delivery receipt or bill of lading for credit consideration. Full credit will not be given to those who did not make notations on the driver’s delivery receipt. A damage report must be filed within 48 hours.

Returns
Merchandise may not be returned or refused without prior authorization and may be subject to 15% restocking fees and any freight charges incurred. Returns will not be accepted after 10 days of receipt of merchandise.
